Andrew Edmunds has been part of London's restaurant scene since 1985 and is considered one of the last bastions of old Soho: a candlelit, wood-panelled, unhurried dining room in a Grade II listed 18th-century Georgian townhouse on Lexington Street, founded by the antiquarian print dealer whose shop still sits next door. Handwritten daily menus of seasonal Modern European — Franco-Mediterranean bistro cooking with free-range meat, sustainable fish and game in season — and a famously restrained wine list assembled with a collector's eye, with older and rare vintages priced closer to auction than London norms. Two private rooms (the Hogarth, up to 14; the Weekend Room, up to 22 seated with its own bar), wine tastings and WSET courses. Always on the lookout for enthusiastic team members — chefs to kitchen@andrewedmunds.com, front of house to enquiries@.
