JENKI is London's matcha specialist, founded by Claudia and Otto Boyer in 2020 after they found good matcha surprisingly hard to find. Having travelled to Japan to spend time with growers, producers and tea experts, they started as a weekend market stall whisking matcha for first-timers and have grown into a brand serving 100% ceremonial-grade matcha from Uji, treated as a craft rather than an ingredient. Six matcha bars across London — the Spitalfields Market flagship, Covent Garden, Selfridges on Oxford Street, Canary Wharf, Borough Market and Battersea Power Station — alongside an online shop, subscriptions, the JENKI app and a wholesale network of stockists.
