Koshari Street — "food of the street, fuel of a nation" — brings Egypt's national dish to London. Koshari, the healthy, nutrient-rich mix of grains, chickpeas, zesty tomato sauce, spiced protein, crispy onions and doqqa nuts eaten daily by 30 million Egyptians, is made here the way it is served on the streets of Cairo alongside the founders' own Egyptian-inspired variations. Founded by Egyptians in the UK on a mission to make a cuisine of 120 million people known beyond its borders, it runs two quick-service sites — St Martin's Lane in Covent Garden and Cannon Street in the City — plus corporate catering, private hire of the high-ceilinged Cannon Street store, and the Monday-evening Koshari Running Club.
