La Barantine

La Barantine is a French family-owned café and pâtisserie business in Edinburgh. Céline and Vincent, owners of a boulangerie-pâtisserie in the north of France, moved to Scotland in 2010 and opened the first La Barantine in Bruntsfield, bringing 70 years of traditional French pâtisserie heritage to the capital. There are now five shops across Edinburgh — cafés in Bruntsfield, Victoria Street and Stockbridge, the La Boulange bakery on Bruntsfield Place, and the Fountainbridge pâtisserie kitchen — serving breakfast pastries, lunches, macarons and handmade celebration cakes by French chef pâtissiers, with artisan bread made from Les Grands Moulins de Paris flour delivered daily to every shop. A family-style employer offering considerate schedules and the chance to practise French with the team.
