La Mia Mamma
La Mia Mamma is the first UK restaurant run by real Italian mammas. In 2018 founder Peppe Corsaro put out a casting call on Facebook for Italian mothers brave enough to cook their regional recipes for Londoners, and the first restaurant opened in Chelsea that year. Rotating mammas from different Italian regions cook home recipes rarely found in "normal" restaurants from a window kitchen, supported by a team of professional chefs, and guests are treated like their own children. Four west and south-west London restaurants — King's Road and Hollywood Road in Chelsea, Kensington Park Road in Notting Hill and Northcote Road in Battersea — open every day for lunch and dinner, with weekend brunch, group set menus, events, Ferragosto celebrations, an online shop, gift vouchers and Deliveroo delivery.
