Oak Taverns is a family-run pub company based at Buttermarket in Thame, started in 1991 by Ian Collinson after many years at Whitbread and now run by his family: Simon Collinson looks after operations and people, David Collinson the finances and head office, and Emma Stevenson marketing and refurbishments. Its 19 pubs are traditional, drinks-led locals across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Northamptonshire and Dorset - the Cross Keys in Thame and Wallingford, the Angel in Bicester, the Kings Arms in Wantage, the Three Pigeons in Banbury, Tom Browns in Dorchester and more - each with a strong real ale offer on four to nine hand pumps from local brewers such as XT, Loose Cannon, Stroud, Rebellion and Broadtown, alongside craft beers, ciders, gins and wines, beer gardens, live music and community events.
