The Victory

The Victory is a neighbourhood pub, restaurant and bar on Lordship Lane in East Dulwich, reopened in May 2026 under its original name after a full refurbishment of the longstanding Franklins site. It is run by hospitality operator Jamie Younger with his wife Rema Waterhouse leading front of house, both formerly of The Palmerston, with executive chef Sean Breen in the kitchen. The cooking is British and ingredient-led with a modern French bistro influence - smoked eel gildas, langoustines with garlic butter, Devon scallop with boudin noir, steak tartare, lamb cutlets and a Sunday lunch - alongside a martini-led bar with Nick & Nora serves, beer, and a wine list focused on France. Weekday set lunches, desserts, drinks and cocktail lists are published daily as PDFs; reservations run through SevenRooms and private events through the events team.
