Big Mamma's Manchester trattoria, built as a balmy alfresco evening on the island of Sicily: 280 seats, 5,000 bottles of vintage liquor, 288 square metres of greenery and more than 300 festoon lights. Guests sit under a eucalyptus and wisteria canopy at 18-seat sharing tables, or past the quartz bar in the Circolino, a 24-seat dining room. Head chef Alfonso has built a sharing menu of entirely homemade Italian classics, including mafaldine al tartufo served from a pecorino wheel. Monday to Wednesday and Sunday 12:00-23:30.
