Lord Crewe Arms
A medieval abbot's house turned Northumberland inn, in the honey-stone village of Blanchland on the edge of the North Pennines. Eight centuries of history run through the building, from the vaulted Crypt Bar to the first-floor Bishop's Dining Room and the fireside Hilyard. Rooms are spread across the inn, the Angel and the Gate House.
