MA/NA is a modern Japanese restaurant and late-night dining room at 30 Upper Grosvenor Street in Mayfair, from Thesleff Group. Named for "mana", the unseen life force said to exist beneath all things, the philosophy runs through sourcing, craftsmanship, ritual and atmosphere. Executive Chef Leonard Tanyag's menu draws on Japan's time-honoured kitchen techniques seen through a modern London lens, using the highest-grade ingredients from Asia and the UK, handled with precision and defined by the rhythm of the seasons. Private dining is available for up to 18 guests and stand-up parties for up to 300. Open Monday to Saturday 6:00pm-1:30am and Sunday 6:00pm-12:30am.
