Under Pressure Espresso

Under Pressure Espresso is a small independent specialty coffee bar and roastery on Birmingham Road in Sutton Coldfield, a short walk from Sutton Coldfield station. Founded in 2014 by local Matt Hall, it serves espresso and hand-brewed filter on a La Marzocco from beans roasted in-house under the Coffee Wizards label, alongside home-baked cakes, treats from Lil's Parlour and bread and pastries from Thirteen Bakers. Around 25 seats with window-bar, communal and table seating, free Wi-Fi and a laptop-friendly vibe. Hours: Mon 9am–12pm (closes early for roasting), Tue–Sat 9am–5pm, Sun 10am–4pm.
