Hare & Tortoise

Hare & Tortoise is a family-run pan-Asian casual dining group founded in 1996 by chef Ding Chu — after 25 years cooking traditional Chinese cuisine in Hong Kong, the USA, Switzerland and the UK — with his wife Yvonne as business manager. The first restaurant opened in the Brunswick Centre, Bloomsbury; the group now runs six London sites (Bloomsbury, Ealing, Putney, Kensington, Chiswick and Aldgate East) serving noodles, rice dishes, sushi, dim sum and Malaysian and Japanese favourites at everyday prices, mostly to walk-in guests, with takeaway and delivery. Motto: "We make food that makes people happy."
