The Duck & Rice is two things at once — an English pub and a Chinese kitchen sharing one building. It opened on Berwick Street in Soho in 2014 in a house that has stood since 1735, with a long bar of cask ales and tank-fresh Pilsner Urquell downstairs and the bespoke stained-glass Hong Kong Chow Bar upstairs, where dim sum is made to order and the whole roast duck has been on the menu since day one. In 2025, ten years on, a second Duck opened at Battersea Power Station: open plan, open kitchen, a raised bar at its centre and 185 seats built for groups and the river. Dog friendly, no dress code, walk-ins always welcome in the pub and bar.
