Cigalon, 115 Chancery Lane: contemporary Provençal cooking in a former auction house with a double-height glass-ceilinged dining room, open kitchen and wood-fired Josper grill. Monthly-changing à la carte and Provençal tasting menu led by chef Julien Carlon, southern French and Corsican wine list, monthly wine dinners and new-menu 'test drives', private dining room for 8 and weddings. Open for lunch and dinner Tuesday to Friday, 12–2.15pm and 5.45–9pm (last booking 9pm).
