Kiln, 4 Hume Street, Ouseburn: an independent restaurant, café and pottery studio in a converted garage — a British larder with Middle Eastern spices, cooked over flame and served on ceramics made on site, with great coffee, house-made soft drinks and small plates (max party size 8). Open daily 10am–11pm, kitchen until 9.30pm: breakfast Mon–Sat 10am–2pm and Sun 10am–1pm, lunch 12pm–4pm (Sun 1pm–4pm), evening 4pm–9.30pm. Walk-ins welcome; dogs and children too.
