Vanderlyle is an intimate Mill Road restaurant serving a single, no-choice, vegetable-led tasting menu — no meat or fish — with a matched wine flight or house-made soft drinks. Opened in 2019 by Alex Rushmer and Lawrence Butler and named after a song by The National, it is listed in the Michelin Guide and works directly with local regenerative growers; the seasonal menu runs to dishes like roasted wild mushrooms with Roscoff onion and Bordelaise, and cheddar shortbread with Stilton custard. Dinner only, Tue–Fri from 6pm; tables are released monthly on the first Tuesday at noon via Tock and pre-paid. No large parties or events.
