Housed in a former bakery on Mapperley Top, the Bread and Bitter has served the local community as a Castle Rock pub since 2007, with a traditional bar, a light and airy conservatory, a dining area beside the old baker's ovens and a small snug. A Castle Rock pub. Open Mon 10am-11:30pm, Tue-Wed 10am-11pm, Thu-Sat 10am-midnight, Sun 11am-10pm. Food Mon-Sat 10am-9pm, Sun 12pm-5pm.
