The Saltney Ferry is one of the larger pubs in the Quality Taverns group, at the heart of the community in Saltney just over the Welsh border from Chester, and is run by manageress Liz. Liz is a keen supporter of a local children's hospice and holds fundraising events at the pub regularly. Customers benefit from loyalty card deals and doubles bar prices; the pub is sport-orientated with two racing channels, and hosts family fun days and tribute band nights through the year. There is a pool table, a darts board and a local darts team always keen for new members.
