A Nottingham institution for two decades and a fixture of the Midlands music scene, regarded by locals and students alike as one of the best places in the city to hang out and hear live music. Winner of Best Medium Bar at the 2011 Best Bar None awards, it has a reputation for booking stadium and festival headliners before they broke — Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Florence and the Machine, Mumford and Sons, The National, The Strokes, The White Stripes and The xx among them — and hosts some of the city's best-known club nights.
